Project Overview

The Cover Brothers sells a product that looks simple at first glance and becomes much more complex once a customer needs to order the right cover for a specific spa, shape, model, material, and measurement set.

Sher Agency established the creative direction and approved visual concepts for the project. Michael Munoz handled the Shopify implementation, translating that direction into the production storefront and extending it across real pages, sections, responsive states, content structures, and ecommerce interactions.

This case study focuses on the broader Shopify storefront and design-to-production implementation. The custom product-builder logic is documented separately as its own technical case study.

Creative direction and visual concepts: Sher Agency.

Shopify production implementation, responsive development, ecommerce UX, and custom frontend development: Michael Munoz / End Everything Studios.

The challenge was not simply making Shopify resemble a design comp. The approved direction had to function across real ecommerce content, variable product types, collection paths, long-form product education, calls to action, third-party option interfaces, and responsive layouts.

  • Dynamic Shopify content and product data
  • Different product types, collections, and product-detail states
  • Product photography with varying proportions
  • Desktop, tablet, and mobile layouts
  • Complex product-option interfaces
  • Cart and checkout behavior
  • Shopify theme constraints
  • Third-party product-option functionality

End Everything Studios translated Sher Agency’s approved direction into reusable Shopify layouts and sections that could support product marketing, educational content, collections, conversion paths, and supporting pages.

The work preserved the intended visual system while solving the production details a static design cannot fully specify: responsive behavior, editable content, Shopify section settings, ecommerce interactions, and product-page complexity.

  • Worked within Sher Agency's approved visual direction
  • Translated approved designs into the production Shopify storefront
  • Built responsive Shopify theme layouts
  • Developed reusable custom Shopify sections
  • Implemented page structures across the storefront
  • Matched visual hierarchy, spacing, typography, imagery, and calls to action
  • Adapted layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile
  • Implemented product-detail interfaces
  • Integrated complex product-option experiences into the visual system
  • Developed reusable accordion and content components
  • Supported regional US and Canadian content
  • Solved Shopify-specific limitations during implementation
  • Continued production development and client-requested improvements
Complete Shopify storefront implementation | The approved agency direction was carried through a working ecommerce website rather than stopping at static comps.
Responsive production layouts | Desktop designs were deliberately reorganized for tablets and phones.
Reusable theme sections | Content structures could be reused and managed within Shopify rather than existing as isolated hard-coded layouts.
Consistent product presentation | Product imagery, information, specifications, and calls to action were integrated into one visual system.
Custom product-page experience | Complex configuration requirements were incorporated without abandoning the visual language of the storefront.
Regional content support | US and Canadian content could change while retaining consistent design and page structure.
Supporting education and FAQs | Long-form purchasing information was organized into readable sections and responsive interactive components.
Agency collaboration | The project demonstrates the ability to take an approved creative direction from another design team and carry it accurately through production.
