Portraits for a Sound Therapy Practice

Kat’s session was designed to show both the person behind the practice and the tools she uses. We began with outdoor portraits featuring one of her crystal singing bowls, then moved indoors to photograph her working with gongs, bowls, bells, and other sound-healing instruments. The finished gallery provides a mix of approachable portraits, working images, and instrument details for websites, practitioner profiles, event listings, and promotional materials.

Kat is a Tucson sound-healing practitioner whose work incorporates crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, chimes, gongs, drums, bells, and other percussion instruments. Her sessions use sound and meditation-focused practices to create an environment centered on relaxation and personal reflection.

The photography session combined outdoor portraits with environmental images inside her instrument space. This approach showed Kat’s personality, the atmosphere surrounding her work, and the collection of instruments that makes her practice visually distinctive.

For wellness practitioners and personal brands, including the actual workspace and tools of the profession can make a portrait gallery more informative and useful than a standard headshot session.
