Shannon’s Family Portrait Session at Catalina State Park

A Family Portrait Session in the Arizona Desert

Catalina State Park provided a beautiful mix of desert scenery for Shannon’s family portrait session. We photographed the family beside towering saguaros, among the rocks and golden grass, and against the wide mountain views that make the park such a distinctive Tucson-area location.

The session included full-family portraits, photographs of the two adults together, and individual portraits of their son. We used both closer compositions and wider environmental photographs to capture the family while still showing the scale and character of the surrounding landscape.

Along with the more traditional posed portraits, we finished with a playful series of the family walking hand in hand. Those candid moments brought movement and personality into the gallery while keeping the session relaxed and natural.
