A high school graduation portrait session in Tucson photographed inside the boxing ring at Undisputed. The shoot mixed traditional cap-and-gown photographs with formal portraits and images built specifically around the ring.

Photographs built around the people in them
Instead of using a school campus or a traditional graduation backdrop, we photographed this session inside the boxing ring at Undisputed in Tucson. That gave the portraits a setting with much more personality while still leaving room for the traditional graduation photographs.
We started with formal portraits in a vest, white shirt, and tie, then moved into the blue cap and gown. The ring ropes, gym environment, and a few boxing-inspired poses became part of the session without taking over the graduation story.
