Caruso’s Italian Restaurant Menu Photography
Caruso’s Italian Restaurant, a Fourth Avenue fixture with roots reaching back to the 1930s, commissioned menu photography of its longstanding Italian-American favorites.
About the shoot
Photographs built around the people in them
Caruso’s has served Tucson for generations, beginning when Nicasio “Caruso” Zagona opened the restaurant in the 1930s. That history gives the food photographs a different job: they need to look current and appetizing while still feeling connected to a restaurant whose familiar dishes and Fourth Avenue presence are part of the city’s dining memory.
