Into the West | Civil War Reenactor Portrait Photography
This creative editorial shoot brought a group of Civil War reenactors into a western movie-set environment north of Phoenix, using period clothing, horses, props, and the desert setting to build a complete visual story.

Photographs built around the people in them
The photographs mix formal character portraits with looser documentary details: uniforms, saddles, horses, weathered structures, vintage vehicles, and the surrounding desert landscape.
Working through different corners of the set kept the series from feeling like a single staged portrait session. Wider group photographs establish the scene, while closer portraits and object details give the collection the texture of an editorial feature.
