1966 Oldsmobile Toronado
A teal 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado photographed from full exterior portraits down to the details, including its hidden headlamp panels, whitewall tires, chrome trim, engine bay, and matching teal interior.
Photographs built around the character of a classic luxury car
The Toronado has a very different visual character from the other classic cars I photographed in this series. The long body, curved roofline, wide front end, hidden headlamp panels, whitewall tires, and extensive chrome trim gave the exterior a lot of distinctive shapes and details to work with.
The shoot covered both full exterior views in the desert and the smaller pieces that define the car up close. I photographed the Oldsmobile and Toronado badging, wheels, window trim, engine bay, trunk, and a detailed set of interior photographs showing the teal upholstery, dashboard, steering wheel, controls, and seating.
