About the shoot

Photographs built around the people in them

The photographs began as visual reference for a painting, but the strength of the individual frames gave the session a second life as a finished photographic series. Anthophile means a person who loves flowers, an idea reflected through the repeated red rose and the shifting relationship between softness, pressure, reach, and restraint.
